4)Indian Americans are politically active and influential. In 2012, 69 percent of eligible Indian American voters cast ballots in the presidential election, compared to 61 percent of eligible voters overall in the United States. And 92 percent of Indian American voters supported Barack Obama for president, compared to only 7 percent who supported Mitt Romney. In addition, there are now four members of Congress who are of Indian descent: two Democrats and two Republicans
